She grabbed international recognition and affection by giving the world one of its greatest moment in the history of sport when she scored the first ever perfect ten in asymmetric bars during the Montreal Olympic Games in 1976. In addition the feat, she achieved six more perfect tens, which made her the youngest Olympic gold medalist only 14 years old age. Nadia Comaneci not only attracted interest, she also assisted in helping Romania gain a global presence. By achieving a score which was impossible to achieve and a sporting legend, she brought gymnastics into the spotlight of the world's the spotlight. It also changed people's perception of women athletes. Her performance during the Olympics is significant enough that her toe move (release) as well as her toe step are both named after her in the event's uneven bars. Alongside the Olympics, she also showed impressive performance at each of the World Championships & European Championships. In the end, she became a legendary gymnast, and was among the greatest athletes that the world has ever witnessed. The 'Queen' of the Olympics, after she defected to America, tried out models and sports marketing equipment.
