The family was within Buenos Aires until she was six years old, and then moved to the Victoria part in London. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she did not want to study English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. It was her wish to be a model when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a job as a model.
